Ensemble Choral Cantique
Fondé en novembre 2008 par Colin Cartwright, Cantique se consacre à l'exploration et à l'interprétation de toutes sortes de musique chorale. Nous jouons a capella ou accompagnés par notre pianiste, José Carlosema.
Founded in November 2008 by Colin Cartwright, Cantique is dedicated to the exploration and performance of all kinds of choral music. We perform a capella or accompanied by our pianist, José Carlosema.
Les choristes, actuellement français, anglais, gallois, néerlandais, belge et américain, sont invités à se joindre à la chorale après une audition informelle. Nous nous réunissons dans la ville de Rochechouart, en Haute Vienne, et répétons le premier dimanche de chaque mois, et occasionnellement entre les répétitions si nécessaire. Nous nous produisons dans les églises locales, habituellement trois fois, en mai, juin et juillet, pour présenter le programme musical de la saison.
Choir members, currently French, English, Welsh, Dutch, Belgian, and American, are invited to join following an informal audition. We meet in the town of Rochechouart in the Haute Vienne, rehearsing on the first Sunday of each month and occasionally in between times as necessary. Visiting local churches, we usually perform the season's program of music three times, in May, June, and July.
Au cours de nombreuses saisons, nous avons eu le plaisir de partager la scène avec d'autres musiciens, dont, par exemple, les élèves de la London Guildhall School of Music, dirigée par Alison Teale, Premier Cor Anglais de l'orchestre symphonique de la BBC, et Roger Judd, ancien organiste de la chapelle St. George du château de Windsor. Many seasons we enjoy sharing the stage with other musicians, including, for example, students of the London Guildhall School of Music, directed by Alison Teale, principal Cor Anglais with the BBC Symphony orchestra; and Roger Judd, former organist of St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. On occasion we offer joint concerts with other choirs, including Cigale, from Meppel in North Holland, and the Voci Chamber Choir, from Windsor in England.
